As a record holder in the Guiness Book of World Records, the Kamo Aquarium is a world renowned jellyfish aquarium for the number of species of jellyfish it holds in its exhibits. A fun fact about this exhibit is that it started on accident when jellyfish began to appear randomly in the coral exhibit. In 2010, Nobel science prize winner Osamu Shimomura visited as a one day curator, bringing attention to the aquarium.
