Aquamarine Fukushima is a popular aquarium for families and kids. The exhibits go beyond the interior, and extend outside with several different programs for visitors to take part in.

The sea waters of Fukushima is where the warm and cold currents intersect
At this aquarium, there is an exhibit dedicated to displaying how two different currents intersect and interact with one another. The number one out of all of them is the rare exhibit where you can see the Pacific saury swimming in a school. Since they are easily startled, the lights are dim in this area, making the aesthetic of the exhibit very scenic. Take this opportunity to see them up close!
Fish, Prepare, Eat!
This aquarium is split into 18 areas with each featuring a specific theme. One of those is called the “Aquamarine Egg”, where visitors have the opportunity to fish, prepare, and savor the flavor of their own work! To fit the theme of evolution, there are also a few live animals such as the pygmy slow loris.
Take part in the “Behind the Scenes”!
One of the programs offered for visitors is called the “Backyard Tour”, in which around 10 visitors get in a group with a tour guide and walk around places that they would otherwise be unable to as a visitor walking around in the exhibits. Both adults and children alike can learn more about the inner workings of an aquarium in this tour.
Multiple seating areas for rest and observation
To support a relaxing time at the aquarium and to offer a place to rest for those busy parents, there are several chairs and benches set up throughout the aquarium.
